Introducing our new chair – Shaun Garrett

Welcoming our new Chair

Shaun Garrett brings more than 40 years of leadership experience across the commercial, public and voluntary sectors, underpinned by over 15 years as a charity trustee and chair. A long-standing resident of Surrey Heath, he has a strong commitment to the local community, and a deep understanding of the support Frimley Fuel Allotments provides to residents in need.

His extensive governance experience includes leading charity boards, serving as Deputy Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council, and overseeing complex strategic, financial and safeguarding responsibilities. Known for his collaborative and people-focused approach, Shaun has a proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, chair effective meetings, and support organisations through change.

He is committed to working closely with the Charity Coordinator and trustees to ensure the charity remains well governed, financially sound and focused on delivering lasting benefit to the communities it serves.
